The last time I had clam chowder this good was when I was nine years old in Alaska.
I was hiking with my Father on the top of a mountain, when we came across an A-frame building. This happened to be a restaurant. We went inside and ordered clam chowder with oyster crackers and hot chocolate. I don't know if it was because I was really hungry or the fact that the clam chowder was super good by itself, but it was very good! Fast forward thirty one years and here it was again - the same taste. The best clam chowder I've ever had (twice). I had the kings platter as well, but the crowning jewel was the chowder. The whole meal gave me energy enough to make my six hour trip to Washington. SUPERB!
